Ho Ching and I were very saddened to hear of US Vice President Joe Biden’s loss of his son, Beau. Back in March, we had hoped that VP Biden could come for Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s State Funeral Service, but learnt that he couldn’t because of a family commitment. Now we know that it was because Beau was ill.
We know that losing someone close to us is part of life. Yet when it happens to us we still experience pain and anguish, and when it happens to others we feel for the family and friends.
Our thoughts are with Mr Biden and his family during their grief. – LHL
